Rein van der Horst, Country Manager Genpact South Africa
The Business Trust initiated a sector support programme to develop South Africa’s Business Process Outsourcing industry. The programme developed incentives, trained young unemployed people as call centre agents and improved the marketing of South Africa’s Business Process Outsourcing services to foreign investors. Genpact is just one of the world’s top Business Process Outsourcing companies that have located operations in South Africa between 2006 and 2010. This sector will create 100,000 new jobs by 2014. The Business Process Outsourcing Sector Support Programme was a partnership between the Business Trust and the Department of Trade and Industry.
