Peter Mangena, Farm Manager Richmond Citrus Farms
Peter is a member of the Moletele community from Maruleng which is near the Kruger Park. The community has claims on 73,000 hectares in that region. Without access to capital or skills it has been difficult for the community to maintain the assets on the land, or the jobs provided by them. The Business Trust’s Maruleng and Bushbuckridge Economic Development Initiative (Mabedi) helped the people of Moletele to form partnerships with investors, who brought in the capital and skills needed to make their land productive. Mabedi was a partnership between the Business Trust and the Department of Co-Operative Governance
