Application Process

Applying for a Challenge Fund grant involves a two stage competitive bidding process. Each of the stages occurs within a specific time frame.

Stage 1. Project Concept Note Stage

All companies or consortia wishing to apply for a Shared Growth Challenge Fund grant must submit a Project Concept Note (PCN). The PCN Application Form asks for some basic information about the applicant's organisation, a brief outline of the intended project proposal, and an indication of the project's budget.

Once submitted, this PCN will be reviewed to ensure that it meets the eligibility criteria, and then scored against the project assessment criteria. Those applicants who have submitted PCNs which meet the eligibility criteria and score competitively against the assessment criteria, will be invited to submit a full application to the SGCF Investment Committee.

The PCN application period deadline has passed.

Stage 2. Full Application Stage

Applicants invited to complete the full application form will submit this to the Fund Manager.  A full project proposal, projected budget, and a monitoring and evaluation strategy is required.  The Fund Manager will submit the proposal to the SGCF Investment Committee for assessment and adjudication.  Successful applicants will be awarded grants goverend by a contract between the applicant and the Business Trust, in which conditions of the grant are detailed.
